Tex Returns
But for how long? Mark Teixeira is back in the lineup for the Yanks tonight, and we'll have to see how long he can stay there. It's the luck and shape of his career since coming over that has fallen so short of expectations. This year, he's been pretty good when he can still play, but we'll see. He's gone from being a great hitter to a sort of average first base bat over what should have been the majority of his prime, and that's just weird. He's a nice guy -- if a bit of a hypochondriac -- so no one lowers the boom on him, but man, has he been a disappointment.
In other news, Zoilo has been sent down so Scott Sizemore could muddle around the infield. There's no news on BP moves yet, but I can't believe they're not making some.
Pretty good chance they get pummeled by the A's for the rest of the week.

Tex's LH swing, the main source of his quick decline, is more level this year, probably due to a couple of adjustments.

It seems to have taken Bautista a second year to fully recover from the wrist surgery.
So they had reason to know that they would need to add a lot of power, and their answers have been underwhelming to this point.
I hate that all their non-speed OF are so freakin' old. It's ridiculous.
