Ranger Prospects: Tambellini Leaves School for the WHL
In a strange turn of event, Ranger prospect Adam Tambellini, the first of their 3 2013 third rounders, has left North Dakota and caught on the the Hitmen of the WHL. This is really unusual. North Dakota is a great program, and it looked as though Tambellini, who is pretty skinny would need three or four years to fill out his frame. He is talented, though, but you have to wonder why he left school. And you also have to wonder how Gordie Clark and the Rangers feel about the move. Over the past few years it seems like the Rangers were starting to lean toward the US college programs. I'm sure we'll get some sort of an explanation as the season wears on, but this is peculiar.
