Knicks Win!

Knicks just beat the Pistons in a game where their energy seemed to rise and fall at sudden intervals.  They got off to a nice start in the first quarter, with Raymond Felton playing well and staying within  themselves.  But as the first wore on they let the Pistons eat into their lead.  The game then went back and forth and was tied at the half.  In the third quarter when it looked like they were going to start losing they went on a run, with Carmelo hitting three three's in a row and the Knicks taking a 15 point lead into the 4th.   Then in the 4th they let the Pistons come back.   It took more heroics from Melo down the stretch including yet another three and free throws to ice it.   Melo finished with 34 or 35.   Bargnani had a double double.  KMart was solid replacing Tyson, and both Shump and Hardaway were a little off.

That Shump and Hardaway were off might have contributed to those lulls, as their contributions can usually keep those from being so severe.  JR Smith is still not playing well and his turnovers helped the Pistons back into the game in the 4th.   They have a huge game against Miami on Thursday, and it would be really good to get Tyson Chandler back for that one.
