Bucs Want To Interview Marc Ross

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have asked the Giants for permission to talk to Marc Ross about their empty GM spot.   Ross has been head of amateur scouting and organizer of the Giants draft board since 2008.  He oversaw the selection of Nicks, JPP, Linval, Prince, Pugh and several others.  Lately he's been pilloried for his misses which included Sintim and and few other second round gambles.   Overall, though, I think he was an intelligent drafter and that's all I ask any of my teams to do.  Draft intelligently.  We'll see what happens if he moves on.  My guess is that Jerry Reese would go back to doing double duty one more time and they'd look for a Ross replacement later.   Though, there could be someone else in the organization who could get elevated.  We'll see.

UPDATE:  The Dolphins have also requested to interview him.
