Giants Sign Weatherford

As they continue their offseason re-boot of Special Teams, the Giants today came to terms with veteran punter Steve Weatherford, lately of the Jets, to come in and compete with Matt Dodge. If he is healthy, and there have been some concerns, Weatherford is exactly what Coughlin likes, a directions kicker who keeps the other team inside their own 20 with his kicks. They may or may not try to stash the talented Dodge when he loses the competition.
