Giants Sign Grant

The Giants today signed S Deon Grant and rescinded their tender offer to CC Brown. This would have been good news if they had just dumped Brown. But Grant is a player they've been interested in before, and now they have him. It's unclear if this says anything about Kenny Phillips or their draft plans. Seems like a solid pick-up. They also re-signed Feagles earlier, but that wasn't worth posting about. Go Giants!

I read that one important factor in recovering from microfracture surgery is whether or not it's done to a weight bearing part of the joint. If it isn't, there is a better chance of a full recovery (although supposedly McGrady's wasn't). So I wonder what Phillips's situation is.

Has Grant lost anything over the years?

I don't know. He hasn't missed a game in several years, but he's a ten year vet.

When Reese says he will address our team's weaknesses, he wastes no time. I hope Grant is strictly a second stringer and we get a healthy Kenny Phillips back.
