Another Series Win!
Phil Hughes won his first start of the year, though he, with the help of the homeplate ump, was a little inconsistent. He should be able to tighten things up going forward, but it was a very nice first start, all things considered. Robinson Cano, who I will need to get more pictures of, continued his maturation with 2 homers and 3.5 good AB's. Granderson chipped in two triples. Jeter added a homer and a double. ARod doubled, and Nick Swisher had two would be homers knocked down by the wind. Marcus Thames went 2-3 as the starting DH. The offense is still a little inefficient, and that's partly due to Tex's sloooooow start, and ARod's lack of homers. However; though they are leaving a lot of men on; they are getting a lot of men on. Robertson came in and allowed a second Hughes run to score, but was otherwise back to his normal self. Marte was alright, and Joba threw some nice sliders before Joe, somewhat needlessly replaced him with Mo, who got a save, even though the score was 6-2. New series starts tomorrow, let's win that, too! Go Yanks!

It's obvious to me the new clubhouse atmosphere that settled in during the summer last year has carried over and allowed this team to be comfortable to start the season. Once A-Rod starts hitting homers and Teix gets going, this offense is gonna rake. Hope Cano finally starts walking more.
Phil, please tell me the Yankees notice Joba's mechanical inconsistency and will eventually send him down to work on him...
I don't know what they're going to do with Joba. I think they think it's all in his head.
His slider is much improved.
SSS, but Randy Winn still doesn't have a hit. Geez.
I would be shocked if a LF isn't added either in a trade or via a mL promotion by the end of July.
I think so, too.
I think we will add an OF too. I cant see it being a big piece since they want to keep it open for Crawford/Werth next year.
