1-1

Robbie Cano kept his predicted breakout season going tonight by going 2-3 with a walk, a homer and a sac fly. He's 27 now, and there are tons of lefty hitters, especially, who have broken out at 27. AJ was okay tonight. His D let him down, but his bullpen didn't. Aceves pitched two scoreless innings, then DRob, Marte, Joba combined for the 8th. Joba K'd both batters he faced flashing mid-90's gas. Not Jobamatic, but not 91, either. Mo was throwing 91 as he picked up his first save of the year. In other news, Nick Johnson got on base 3 times without getting a hit. Granderson got a hit off of Lester. ARod had a game tying hit when the Yanks were down 3-1, and Swisher continues to look slimmer and get on base. Nice win. Andy vs. Lackey tomorrow. Go Yanks!

I tend to think that Aceves couldn't get loose on Sunday.

Great signs from Joba.

NJ is showing signs of being awesome.

Swisher looks improved, too. I'm gonna write up something about them either tonight or tomorrow.

Great note on LoHud about Swish:

• Interesting quote from Nick Swisher: “I’m really just taking this, for the first time in my career, like a job. Show up, I do the work, make sure I’m doing everything the right way and it’s really working out. Maybe I’m just a little more focused.”
