The One We Want

If Prucha is really on the way out, with his huge upside, scrappiness and points per minute production, we don't want an over 30 defender like Morris or Jovo, sure they're good players, but if we are trading a young proven scorer for defense, it had better be YOUNG defense and Seabrook is the choice. He's been talked about in conjunction with Prucha for nearly a year, and he is the right guy for now and for the next few years to mix with Staal, Sanguinetti, 210, Girardi and Sauer. I hope when this trade news comes, it's Seabrook and not one of the older Coyotes.

Without question. Seabrook can be part of the core for years to come. No need to waste assests on an over 30 D-Man. Signing Souray is okay b/c it just costs cash. If Prucha is moved for Seabrook I would not have a problem.

Hi Phil, are you hearing Seabrook from your sources?

Not since midseason and earlier. This just got posted when we heard that Prucha was being dealt. Now we hear he's out of the deal they are making for Morris, but could go back in, or elsewhere.

Cool, I was just surprised that Chicago would think of moving him. They flipped Aucoin to clear Seabrook a spot in the top pairing, and he's only 21. I think he's core.

Keeping Prucha out of the Morris deal would be huge for you guys, much less risk.

The odd man out of Prucha/Anisimov/Cherepanov is going to net some valuable assets for you down the road. Young skill is always at a premium.

They were willing to do it back during the season. I don't know if they still would.
