The Knicks want Ron Artest, and Ron Artest wants to be a Knick. The fly in the ointment is Orlando who is offering Turkoglu. If the Knicks want to move David Lee they could get a deal done now. They don't, so it will be interesting to see how Zeke and Artest can make this happen.

They better not move Lee for Artest. I will stop watching.
Can we give them Jeffries?
Sure we can give them Jefferies, but they probably won't take him.
Real GM has a story up on how Artest wants to be here.
We already knew that. I just don't want to lose Lee or Balk in the deal.
I could not agree more. I don't want to lose Lee or Balk in any deal, unless it was for Kobe. If we do get Artest, on the cheap kudos to Isiah, as he has done a fine job retooling the roster.
I think it'll happen, there's a great deal of will on both the Knicks and Artest's sides of things. Further, Artest still has that opt out next year which he has always said he would use to get to the Knicks.
I think him coming here he will be motivated, and more likely to stay out of trouble. I wanted him back when he was drafted. The genius Ed Tapscott thought Weiss would be better. I think Isiah can keep him under control. Imagine the fun the NY media is going to have with this.
