How many should we realistically expect to sign Phil?

maybe 5 or 6. Last year we eventually collected about a dozen, but it was an historically deep class.

Will we be able to land the top rated ones? I apologize as I do not know as much about these players.

We got DeLeon and Pena so far and they were two of the top rated OF's. We're apparently not done yet.

SANTO DOMINGO -- the New York Yankees signed Monday several Dominican prospectos, including Kelvin DeLeon for 1.1 million dollars.

"This boy has much talent, is of the five tools and has the conditions for being a phenomenon like Vladimir Guerrero or Jose Guillén", said to the AP the director of scouts of the Yankees for Latin America, Ramon Valdivia.

DeLeon, from 16 years, comes from a family of limited resources of the community of the Creek, to about 20 kilometers to the east of the Dominican capital. At the time of his company/signature one was next to his father Kelvin and their mother Colasa Ozuna and her Yulensy sister.

"I feel very contented because this I have fulfilled the first part of my dream, that was to sign like professional", Leon said, that proclaimed to be a following faithful of Carlos Beltrán.

DeLeon attends at the moment third of baccalaureate, although it left his studies makes about six months to dedicate themselves per complete time to the baseball.

Of Leon one of seven signed peloteros Monday by the Yankees was, with an investment of near 4 million dollars.
"Also we contracted the thrower Arodys Vizcaíno, who has a tremendous arm and is sending to 94 miles per single hour with 16 years just fulfilled", Valdivia commented. The New York executive clarified that the hirings are not fruit of the luck, but of a work of pursuit of the talents. "We did not invent, are two years old seeing these boys in real game and these hirings are a clear indicative of the confidence that the Yankees they have in the talent of the Dominican Republic", it added.

During the day of hirings also the Brazilian thrower Maicon Alves by 20,000 dollars signed itself. "I like much the baseball although I am of Sao Paulo and everybody thinks about soccer, but I feel very contented by the opportunity that gives the Yankees me", said Alves.

Yanks also added Jose Mojica, who was faking his age and calling himself Asuni Baez. As Jose he's 18. So no huge deal, he's a SS and suppposed to be one of the best.
