Rangers Have Acquired Trouba!
The Rangers just announced to Twitter that they have acquired 25 year old, break out, right shot D Jacob Trouba from Winnipeg for Winnipeg's original 20th pick, that the Rangers had picked up in the Hayes trade and Neil Pionk. This is far less than Larry Brooks predicted would be the price. This guy could be a 60+ defenseman going forward. Now, though we got rid of one of the log jam of defenders we needed to in this deal, we've the return was another D, and so the Rangers still have bodies to move. But holy crap what a deal! Since the end of the season the Rangers have picked up the best amateur puck mover and now a top 5 pro puckmover. And this is a big kid at like 6'3" and 230. Huge get!

Excellent move. Dredger was on Sirius earlier, and mentioned this and said he thought Rangers will get Panarin
He's young but I think by the time a lot of these young Rangers start hitting their stride he'll be older (in hockey years). It still was a great price for the talent we acquired and a need position. I like it.
He can lead them and set an example. We'll see about Panarin.
