Knicks Tonight

NBA Free Agency opens in a few hours, and the Knicks have room for 2 big contracts. Rightly or wrongly, I’ve been taking Duran as a given, so, as I said yesterday, the key is the other player.  If it’s Leonard, this really is a new day, and if it’s someone else, we’ll have to see. In general, I appreciate how close to the vest the Knicks are playing it.Who wants to see a train wreck in slow motion?  I’m only have kidding. It’s just really nice to not know the plan sucks going into things.  So let’s keep our fiongers crossed for Kawhi Leonard

UPDATE: Woj is already reporting that Duran is signing with Brooklyn. Glad to know the Knicks aren’t giving him a redshirt season. We’ll see what else happens, but the Knicks could be shutout. This wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, as they have a fun young core that needs to play,  This is also true of the Rangers tomorrow.

Yeah, I don’t follow the NBA closely but that was my question — would missing on Durant be the worst thing? No guarantee he is the same player in 2020-21.

Exactly. Could be fool’s gold. The real gold is the kids you can find and develop.

I like this move, keep building with youth. We can always add free agents in future years!
