More Kaapo Stuff

Won’t have. My laptop back for a few more days, but got an external keyboard for my iPad. Anyway, before going out to get the keyboard, I watched all of Kakko’s goals from his draft season on YouTube, together they made sense of something he said Friday night. He said his two influences were Teemu Selanne, which every Finn says, then he said, Patrick Kane which made no sense to the announcers or, most likely the audience.  After all, Kane, is great but small relative to Kaapo.  But, if you watch all of Kaapo’s moves, your reminded of what Dave Gettleman said about Saquon - that he’s a power back, with the moves of a much smaller running back.  Kaapo Kakko is the same way and that’s how he was influenced by Patrick Kane. His tight radial moves in the corners, along the wall and around the net are like nothing we’ve ever seen from a power forward.  Prospect camp starts tomorrow, and it’s never been so loaded.

there was a video, not sure if you saw it, where he carried the puck in team USA zone for like 40 seconds, against the wall, weaving in and out of players before driving to the net and got a shot off, very impressive especially against a power team like the USA.
