Rangers Take One from The O in 7

The Rangers took 5’11 170 RW Eric Ciccolini with their final pick. He spent 2 years in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, where he scored at a reasonably good clip. He’ll matriculate at Michigan for a few years, then we’ll see what’s up.

BLOG NOTE: My computer should be up and running tomorrow or early this week.  No draft review till then, but I will update any breaking stories and will probably do a Rangers to do list later, but ahead of the crush. I hate writing on this device.

Okay, as we know, the computer was dead and gone for 3 weeks and it could not be revived as of this past Sunday, so this is the new computer and I'll be catching up for a few days.

Further on Ciccolini, another good skater who showed up and wowed them at the Development Camp. This season the Rangers will have most of their amateur prospects over in Europe and College, and only about 1 in the Major Juniors.  I'm glad that they've favored pulling kids who have played against men or shown for their National Teams and not overvalued the OHL as I think teams did for awhile.
