Something Almost Happened at the Draft
So it turns out the Rangers were close to moving Chris Kreider to Colorado during last Friday’s first round but the Avs wouldn’t turn over the #16 pick, and so the deal was off. This does tell us that the Rangers were willing to move Kreider even withou having to because of a Panarin signing or something like that. I wonder if they will revisit things with Colorado. If they do I hope they can get Newhook, or a future one. Of course, now that they’ve shown a willingness to move CK, they shouldn’t have trouble finding a market - and is can’t be a salary dump. Picks and prospects only.
By the way, Panarin was there or is still there today, not yesterday, so stuff might start happening soon.
And Vitaly Kravstov has been tearing up the prospect camp, through the first scrimmage. Fox was also good. They have two more scrimmages. Last night, they went to the Yankee Game, and tonight, they are touring the Garden.
