More Money for OBJ
The Giants today released WR Brandon Marshall, who looked over the hill and unwilling in his only action as a Giant. This gives them about 5M extra bucks to load into OBJ's new deal, which I suspect is close. Why else would he show up for the offseason work? Also, the timing of this now, and not at the start of the offseason is interesting. I hope they are not thinking of signing any other over the hill power receivers. Let's see if they can find one somewhere in the draft -- or just make Engram a WR and pick up another TE.

Huge future cap savings is a great reason to draft a QB at 2.
I like Barkley a lot more than any of the QB's.
I hear you, but I think the QBs have to be compared to the QB who they are likely get as an 8 or 9 win team over the next couple of seasons.
Shurmur is a QB whisperer and I liked Davis last year and still do. Barkley is by far the best player in this draft and if you want to look at a positional valiue chart, you have to also realize he's not just the best back, he's the best WR. An OBJ level talent in a big RB body. Makes everyone else better. Use two of the next three picks on OL's and we're good to go.
Shurmur’s “skill” is another reason to take a QB at one. I don’t want to rely on a middle round pick of a GM who sucked at middle round picks.
I think they will take Chubb or trade down if Darnold is gone.
He can use his skill on Webb. They can take a QB later in the draft. The top QB's all have red flags. Also, Chubb is a 4-3 DE. How are they gonna use him in their 3-4?
I don't like any of these QB prospects, none have performed great in college and have too many red flags.
I'm all in on Barkley or trading back for Nelson.
Also, we couldn't cut Marshall at beginning of offseason because he couldn't take the physical yet, same with Harris.
One of several articles that suggest Chubb could make the adjustment. But I want a QB.

Enter Bradley Chubb, the defensive end from North Carolina State who is visiting the Giants on Thursday. Chubb played as a 4-3 end in college and is one of the most enticing defensive players available in the upcoming draft. In fact, he could be in play for the Giants with the No. 2 overall pick.
Bettcher chose to playfully hide any excitement he has over that possibility.
“Who?” he said with a wide grin when asked about Chubb. “I don’t know who you’re talking about.”
The Giants could use a productive edge rusher such as Chubb, especially after trading Jason Pierre-Paul last month. They may or may not select Chubb in the first round of this year’s draft, but it’s clear from Bettcher’s messages that his having played in a 4-3 scheme throughout college will not rule him out. Chubb does have some experience playing in space and dropping in pass coverage, but he is known more for attacking quarterbacks. Whichever team he lands on undoubtedly will want him to continue that mindset. If it’s the Giants, he may be asked to do more.
Bettcher has been able to convert others, he surely believes he can do the same for Chubb.
