Yanks Win!
Pitching and homers, one more time! As the free world knows at this point, Alex Rodriguez notched #3000 with a bomb. That was his only hit of the night, but it was more Jeterian than Jeter's 3000th hit/homer which he sort of pulled to left centerfield. It's time that people see ARod for the great player he's always been and stop having him be the scapegoat for hundreds of others. Gardy (4/5) and DiDi hit the other jacks. Warren did the fancy pitching and Pinder worked a scoreless 9th. Big win and big congrats to ARod.

This. Not justifying his use of PEDs, but he would have been a Hall of Famer without them, and it's not like he's the first guy to ever try to get an edge.
Jeter is one reason that A-Rod is under appreciated. Some fans and media have treated almost any praise of A-Rod as an implicit diss of Jeter. And, Jeter, as a well deserved captain and icon, was unwilling to support A-Rod as he had Giambi under similar circumstances. If he had, it would have disarmed many of the critics.
