Rangers Reportedly In On Mike Reilly
Still not ready to talk too much about the end of the Rangers season or what they should do now (plenty), but they are interested in Golden Gopher offensive defenseman Mike Reilly, and as it was with collegiate FA Kevin Hayes last year, it would really behoove them to sign Reilly now. They already whiffed after being a finalist of O'Connor a few weeks ago, so they should really try to get this done.
The Rangers may have an advantge in their pursuit of Reilly, because Brady Skjei was his teammate at Minnesota. Also, because they made room and gave time to Kevin Hayes this year. Of course they need to do this because they traded away so many first rounders, and Reilly, like Hayes last year, and arguably Talbot the year before, would make up for much of those losses.
Btw, I think they must think they are getting him because they traded away Daniel Walcott the other day and he was the other offensive defenseman in the organization other than Calle Anderson, who still hasn't come over from Sweden.

Sather may retire.
We'll have to see that to believe it, but I hope he teaches Gorton his trade magic before he goes.
I think Sather comes back for 1 more year. Or, he stays until sometime after training camp opens. I believe this off-season is still his show.
That said, I hope they do get Reilly. He would fit right in as Boyle's replacement. Poof: Younger, quicker, and less expensive.
Not sure how the cap is effected by getting rid of Boyle though.
I don't think it is.
