Yanks Win!

Brian McCann and Carlos Beltran sort of played the roles Tex and ARod have been playing thus far, and Ellsbury and Gardy played themselves.  Fortunately, so did Betances and Miller, because Martin and others didn't get the job done.   Would be nice if all the older, big contract guys got going so hopefully, this win will be the start of something.

Nice win. The pen was great, as usual, but you have to think Cashman is going to want to see these starters go deeper into games before giving other guys a shot as they become available.

Anytime Beltran or McCann contribute they're golden.

Warren has had less than10 starts. This is part of the process or development.

I think the Yanks have gotten good mileage out of Warren. He has done a good job out of the pen and was never a great prospect as a starter. 6 innings and 3 runs is about the best to expect from him. I think Mitchell has much more potential as a starter than Warren or Whiteley and would love to see him get a real chance. Move Warren back to the pen before the warts on guys like Rogers and Martin start to show.

Great win to hold on. Warren has turned into a solid #5 SP. It will be interesting to see what happens with Capuano when he is eligible to come off the DL.

Positives, Pirela's bat.

I don't mind taking some lumps if you're developing young starters as long as you stick with it.

Negatives, A-Rod's legs are hurting.

He's getting playing time, which was a concern of mine, so it's good to see him making the most of it.

Let's hope that means it's because they know they need him

Drew will likely come into games for Pirela to tighten up the defense in close games.

So a $5M utility man. Well, at least Culver can replace him in that regard next year.

No Pirela today, but A-Rod will start.
