Eovaldi Wins Again
It's nice that Nate is getting some wins while he is still developing. Next step is to see if he can keep the other team under 3 runs in his next start. Doesn't help when he gives up homers to the second batter he faces. But the Yanks once again got Ellsbury, Gardy, ARod and Tex to deliver enough O to pull it out last night, and the bullpen was once again fantastic. The season is a little more interesting than we were expecting it to be so far.

As the Anon posted on the other thread, Drew gets two hits and they like to pretend that he is turning the corner.
The sad GM is saying again that he signed Crapu for the rotation.
This team is doing what it is doing in large part because the player they hate has been clutch.
They desperately need to get younger.
They have the opportunity to do it while old guys like Tex and A-Rod carry them.
Only morons wouldn't seize that
chance.
This is the youngest team they've had since 99..And they've noted time and time again there penchant for needing to get even younger. Quit complaining, this forum is no fun anymore because of close minded posts that are filled with complaint after complaint.
Keep up the good work, Phil. I enjoy reading your unbiased posts, which is a breath of fresh air when compared to the news outlets.
Good for A-Rod passing Mays. I hate his contract, naturally, but I've never disliked the player even though he can say and do some downright boneheaded things sometimes. As an aside, I hope the Yankees are forced to pay him every cent they should have spent on Yoan Moncada.
Delmon Young pisses me off like no other scrub Yankee-killer since Chone Figgins.
Lawyer is right, now would be an excellent time to begin a youth movement given the top four hitters and their production thus far, along with the good pitching.
Phil, I have some terrible news that I just heard about NYR.
I'm trying to confirm with another contact of mine but supposedly Mats Zuccarello's career is over. From what I've been told, he has brain damage and internal bleeding from the puck he took to the head and can barely speak. Rangers won't be announcing anything until after the playoffs.
I'll follow back up if I get confirmation so put this at 70/30 as the person who told me wouldn't make something this serious and sad up.

Billy, thanks for the update. That's horrible news and I wonder if that's what's been wrong with the Rangers -- not his not playing, but his career being in jeopardy. They love him.
That is horrible news about Zucc. Please update if you folks hear anything else.
I'm with Billy Martin here. This blog has really taken a sharp downturn with all the complaining about the Yankee management, FO, etc.
Voicing opinions is always welcome. And appreciated. But regurgitating the same negativity over and over on almost every Yankee post is too much.
Just my opinion.

Please be considerate to each other. Don't like reading the "you" stuff.
Draft is less than a month away!

I tend to try and stay away from these sort of spats, but I'll just offer my $0.02 here. I have no problem with either positive or negative posts, as the majority of the posters here — on both sides — back up their opinions with either numbers and/or personal experiences that offer valuable context.
The posts attacking each other personally are what I think bring the blog down, much more so than anything "positive" or "negative."
I say this as someone who likes all of you and enjoy reading the different opinions (and welcome them, since it would be rather boring here if everyone thought the same way): There's no need to be personal about any of this. We're all Yankee fans and want what's best for the team, even if we sometimes disagree on what actually is "best." If you truly can't just get along, then it's important to note that no one is forcing any of you to respond to any one certain poster. :)
(And I realize I'm a hypocrite with that last bit, since I often entertain the anonymous poster's points, even though he/she appears to be trolling us, at least from my interpretation.)

In hopes of getting this discussion back on track, since Phil mentioned the draft, some potential names I read on NYYFans that might be there for the Yankees are OF/RHP Kyle Tucker and 6-foot-7 LHP Justin Hooper. Hooper is a UCLA commit; not sure about Tucker.
Also, if for some reason Brady Aiken fell to the Yankees' pick, I'd have no problem drafting him, but that's just me.

OK, I'm out. Real life calls.
If you want me to read something post it on a subsequent thread.
Anyone can be positive, negative or anything. Just treat people nicely and it is all good.
