Pirela Coming Up
The Yanks are activating Jose Pirela from the DL tomorrow. This should be interesting. Depending on the corresponing move, which should be Petit to the minors, it could really break up the outs at that end of the lineup. The team really can't continue ot ask the other 6 players to carry Drew, Didi and Beltran, so this is a good first move to break up the tyranny of the useless. Let's hope Giradi plays him.

That last part is the kicker — how often will Joe actually play him over the veterans, especially if Pirela doesn't hit right away. Betances had the benefit of being dominant from the get-go last year, which is why Joe quickly began to trust him in more high-leverage situations.
It must be tough for whomever made the decision, I think it's the GM, to admit that $5 million was wasted on Drew, unless he becomes the expensive super sub and Pirela gets an extended chance to start. Drew could be valuable in that role.
Tex and A-Rod have to cheat but when they guess right, boom.
This point you have to put a ball on a tee for Beltran to hit it regularly
I think Leiter is making way too much of small sample sizes.
Pirela is nothing more than a utility player at best.
That might be true, but it might not be. Have to give him a shot to find out. Same with Refs eventually.
Drew and Didi are essentially the same player at this point, along with Petit and Ryan. Let's see if Pirela can at least hit.
Kinda annoying they had to bring Miller in.
He has no clue.
Petit hurt his hand yesterday. Came out late in the game.
Maybe he goes on the DL, and Pirela is activated.
Hopefully, Pirela gets the full-time gig at 2B, and Drew becomes the super-backup. Unlikely, but one can hope.
