Giants: And There Goes The OL
Unbelievably, after finally drafting a 5th starter for the offensive line, the Giants have lost their OLT Will Beatty till at least November with a torn pec. Even when they finally bit the bullet and tried, they still can't put 5 guys out there, and that's because they missed on so many in free agency, more so than in the drafts, where they really had bad luck with their windows. So, this means Flowers, Pugh or Newhouse will have to play OLT, and god only knows who will then pick up the open spot. A trade for a real OL would seem to be necessary. This is just unbelievably bad news on the Giants end.

It can't be Newhouse.
I think it will be Flowers. They need to bring back another guy to play Guard since Pugh stays at RT now.
No kidding. But he might have to play RT if Flowers plays LT and they move Pugh to LG to help him. Or we have to play someone at LG who'll also be bad.
There are some decent options for Guard still out there so we don't have to play Newhouse or Jerry.
It's why I thought Cooper was a luxury they may not have been able to afford.

In the past 48 hours:
Knicks drop in lottery
Yankees lose Ellsbury to injury
Rangers lose 6-2
Giants lose Beatty to injury
WTF
Is there still someone out there in free agency? There was an article somewhere recently (Fox? ESPN?) that listed the "best" of the remaining FA, and I believe there was at least 1, if not 2, solid options for an offensive line.
Wish I could find that article.
I think we'll have to trade for quality.
Hello Mr. Long....
Point of interest Tanaka at SWB on YES
I still say Blalock at OG and start Flowers and Pugh at the tackles.
