Yanks and Ivan Nova avoided arbitration by agreeing on a 1 year, non-guaranteed deal, for 3.3M. Not bad. This could have gotten contentious if Nova's agent had wanted him to be paid for what he'd done despite the injury. Solid move.
I am also surprised they did not try to cut him to $3 million or something. He missed 80%+ of last season, and will miss approx. 1/3 of this season. They are basically paying over $6 million for a pitcher who will give them less than a full season, over a 2 year period..

I actually think the Yankees were generous because Nova has no leverage and he may never be good again. He has had a very weird career anyway.

Franklin back to being Pulaski Manager LOL
I'm gonna wait for an organizational clarification on that.
They can always cut Nova if they think he's finished medically and cut their losses.
I guess that would be best but if the Article is right all his staff were ex Trenton players which i like to see.
Franklin said a few days ago that he was a rover and not a mgr this year.
LOL when I go down there this year I will be sure to post who the manager is..
