Yanks: Severino Promoted to AA
The Yanks today promoted Luis Severino to AA. They usually aren't this aggressive with non collegiate prospects (you remember Ian Kennedy and Joba's fast ascent but the level per year they mostly took with Hughes). While Severino had made a mockery of High A and certainly merited this promotion, July promotions are always trade suspicious, and they just had better not. This is their first great pitching prospect in a few years, and could be a future ace if they are smart enough to hang onto him. Btw, they have never, ever traded a pitcher with this upside, so perhaps we shouldn't be worried.
Btw, both Matt Tracy and Tyler Webb were both promoted to AAA. Tracy is an interesting lefty who sometimes looks like he could be an MLB 3. Webb is another quality relief prospect.
UPDATE: Lindgren was promoted to High A Tampa, which will also be his third stop of the year.

Webb Flew through...
I think it's suspicious as well. They want Price so bad it's scary.
Screw Price and his declining V.
Well yeah, but they don't consult me.
Mitchell demoted to make room for old Carlos.
