Rangers: NHL Pre-FA Tampering Period Has Begun

That weird period where tampering is legal in the NHL has begun.  And the Rangers are already being associated with Dan Boyle.  Of course, this may or may not be true, since they've needed someone to be able to run their PP from the blue line since Leetch moved on.   In general, this is an interesting offseason for the Rangers, they're in good cap shape and can make more if they want, but it will be interesting to see how close they really think they are and if they want to try to load up to get back there an win it fair and square next season.   The moves they make between now and July will give us our answers.   I'd feel slightly more comfortable if Sather had, perhaps, retired and turned things over to Gorton.
