Clarkin Cruises

Ian Clarkin went 5 innings giving up no runs and two hits, while striking out 5 and hitting a guy, who was erased trying to steal.   Seemed like he might have been squeezed on his curveball, a bit, but they couldn't do anything with it - or the fastball - or the change.

Omar Luis was pretty awful again, but also seems to have some bad luck.

Dustin Fowler had a triple and a homer, and is seeming more and more like our next really good OF prospect, after Judge, Cave and the higher up guys.

In the NYPL the Yanks won the first game of the DH and are tied in the second game, after a run scoring double by Austin Aune!

In the first game, they played Collin Slaybaugh, whom they drafted as a catcher, in centerfield.   Now they said he could run for a catcher, but he must really be able to run for a catcher.

When is Hensley supposed to get back?

Between Clarkin, De Paula, Severino and maybe DeCarr, there should be a lot of young talent for their new pitching guru to prove his worth.

Every young pitcher in the organization should be taught the change and to pound the ball low in the zone, and no cutters.

Six weeks until we know if the strange GM does any more damage.
