Yanks: Signing Heath Bell to a Minor League Deal

Back in the `80s the people of the Philippines rose up against the ruling family the Marcos.   When the Marcos's were forced out, the world was astonished to find Imelda Marcos has thousands and thousands of pairs of shoes.  She had been a psychotic collector of them.

That's what Brian Cashman is turning into when it comes to both relief pitchers and players he was rumored to be trying to acquire in the last 10 years.   Beltran's already here  Now, today,  he's finally scored Heath Bell.  Forget that he had no godly reason to get him, he got him!

I ask you seriously, can Cliff Lee be far behind?

And dig this, they sent Mark Montgomery, who's currently better than Heath Bell down to AA to make room for Bell in AAA.

So, feel free to refer to Brian Cashman as "Imelda" around here from now on.

Cashman is definitely as delusional as Imelda.

Pineda out until at least August.

They had a great asset to trade if they didn't want to keep him, and they traded for a 1,000,000 to 1 shot.

Is this August thing with Pineda an update? Because he didn't start a new clock when he got moved to the 60. So he should be back in July.
