Yanks: Tanaka Wins His 10th
Tanaka just won his 10th, and it would have been a shutout if knucklehead McAnn hadn't called for a first pitch fastball to Cano in the bottom of the ninth. So the Yanks only won 4-2 instead of 4-0. There was a man on for Cano because Roberts couldn't make a play. Still Tanaka pitched a complete game, striking out 11 and walking only 1. He's great and deserves to have a much better team around him. He's one of a very few guys on the squad currently worthy of the pinstripes they wear. Btw, I think back in `78, Ron Guidry was 10 and 1 or 10 and 0 around now. Struck out 16 Angels in June of `78, I believe.
So where is the Tanakamania?

Tanaka is awesome.
It was really an error by Roberts in the 9th and that had to change the approach to Cano.
It is beyond stupid that Roberts is on this roster.
And Ellsbury really had 3 hits.
Murphy, Banuelos, and Ramirez for Zobrist?
Discuss.
Not only no, but hell no.
RAB is very good overall, but jeez, this idea of constantly leveraging the present can be tiresome.
Jeez, no way.
