Yanks Win Game 1 of the DH With Pittsburgh

Hiroki Kuroda was able to produce a quality start today.  This is good news if it means he's finding himself.  We could basically use any starter who can give us a chance to win these days, and he did.   The O looked like it was set to destroy in the first, after Kuroda gave up a solo shot in the top of the first, the Yanks loaded the bases with no outs.  They then scored 3 runs with no outs, but could muster but a single run over the rest of the game.

Let's hope they'll explode here in the nightcap.   Jose A. Ramirez has been called up to be the 26th man for the DH, and I'd love to see him get in there.  He may be our next Betances level weapon out of the pen.  He's not nearly as big, but he's been clocked at 100 on his fastball.

Should be fun.  Go Yanks!

As I have said, I like Girardi's bp management, but using Aceves and Claiborne, who both suck, over Ramirez, who has a chance not to suck, was Torre-esque.

Chris Stewart, who rally isn't a MLer, getting 2 RBI...Really?
