Yanks DL Beltran and DFA Billings

I wonder how Choo is doing.   The Yanks DL'd Carlos Beltran for the first time this year today because of a bone spur that will require surgery at some point.   Thus he'll either have it and miss two months, or he'll come back from the DL for awhile, irritate it and go back on the DL.  Rinse and repeat.   Yes, we are used to having old players.

To make room for Chase Whitley, the Yanks DFA'd Bruce Billings.   Boy, are we strangely constructed.

Phil Hughes pitched very well today against Boston. So let me get this straight. He can't handle the pressure of playing in NY, but he can beat the defending world champions.

The Yanks let his mechanics change and never got him back to the pitcher he had been in the minors. He was an arm pitcher instead of a drop and drive extreme ground ball and K guy he was in the minors.
