Yanks Shutout Mets Again

Chase Whitley pitched 5.2 innings of shutout ball, before Girardi panicked and lifted him for Betances.   Whitley was getting squeezed in the 5th which lead to walks, so maybe Girardi just didn't trust the home plate ump.  Needless to say, he's probably earned another start.   Meanwhile, Betances was lights out and K'd 6 in a row.   Warrren got into a jam in the 8th and Robertson pitched a four out save.   McCann scored the game's only run off a Soriano double.  Yanks win 1-0.    Phew.

Jeter was removed for defensive purposes. Impressive.

Betances has sick stuff.

They need a bat more than a starter.

If they want to trade prospects, do it for Stanton.

Turns out the Jeter move was part of a double switch.

Anonymous, are you Rich, by chance?

Not sure the Yankees have anything the Marlins would be interested in.
