Rangers Hammer Habs

Wow.  The Rangers put it to the Canadiens in Game 1 of their semi-final series.   Martin St. Louis got the ball rolling early and they never looked back.   Hank was uniformly tremendous and may have vanquished his Montreal bugaboos.   Kreider was tremendous with a goal and some assists, as well as constantly attacking the net, or drawing penalties by standing in the slot and not reacting to slashes and cross checks.  Just a fantastic game for the kid.   McDonagh also had a goal and assists, as did Stepan as the kids really came of age today.  Nash even scored!   Richards continued his good scoring with another goal, and MZA also scored.   11 different Rangers got on the score sheet.   The only down moment came when Brassard was injured.  He's been great in the playoff so we'll have to hope we can get him back.

And we have to win game 2.   I remember 1979.
