Rangers Coach Hunt `13: Vigneault or Yikes?

The plot thickens and gets scarier.  Apparently Alain Vigneault left the Rangers West Coast Hideout last night without a deal.   Then today, Pittsburgh announced that they had extended Bylsma and his assistants instead of firing him.  It was speculated that he would have been the Rangers first choice if he was fired.   Dreger reports that Dallas still has interest in Vigneault.     Having already missed on Eakins, the Rangers are now in a very dangerous game of musical chairs which could have them backing into a re-tread or even Mark Messier.   Now, I don't think they should hire anyone impulsively, but I also don't think they should be so careless about it that they end up with a hack or a tyro.   Let's see what happens, the rest of the dominoes seem to have fallen.  Everyone else is a duck are the Rangers a goose?
