Dominance!

Ryan Callahan had 4! goals, Mats Zuccarello added 2 and Artem Anisimov had 1 as the Rangers just pasted the Flyers 7-0 for Hank's 9th shutout of the year. Cally had never had a hat trick before, but he blew by that mark when he scored his 4th early in the third. Anisimov seems to be taking a step up - and just in time. MZA is looking like he could be a real scorer. And obviously, the defense played great, lead by Mark Staal and Dan Girardi. McDonagh returned today and continued to look like the real deal. Gaborik returned and, although a little rusty, something sure gave the team a lift. Huge win! Go Rangers!

Give Sather credit for as McGuire called it grand larceny getting McDonagh in the Gomez deal..

The other D we got in that deal is good, too.

Having see a few Wolfpack/Whale games I like Valentenko's game. He could have a shot next year imo. I would think Eminger would be gone as would McCabe..

I've seen some online. Yes, I think it's time Staal and Girardi lead a young but talented D.

Young and talented indeed. I am very impressed with Sauer. Having also seen him numerous times with the Wolfpack he really has taken his game to a higher level with the Rangers. Plus the fact we have MciLRath a year or so away, along with Grachev, Krieder amongst others the future looks bright!

Chris Thomas has a shot at 50 goals this year.

Forgot about him, good point. This is why I see no need to keep guys like Prospal.Fedotenko,Drury, and Christensen around... They also have to get Redden off the payroll this summer. I get the sense they will very keenly pursue Richards. I also wonder if they will sell high on Boyle? I can't see him putting up this production next year.. Despite us maligning Sather and rightfully so, he has done some things right..

It will be interesting to see what they do. Richards may be a given. They need to keep their picks and have another great draft.

Major props to Gordie Clark. Even before he was promoted, we knew he was the brains behind it all. I agree with your earlier sentiments that we do need to recoup some picks in this deep draft! I don't mind Richards, as maybe that will finally bring Gaborik back to his dominant levels. Sather needs to make prudent moves, starting with the removal of the unfab 4. On a side note caught some of the Whale game today, good stuff..

Tough road trip this week, need 3 of 4 points imo. Go Rangers!!
