Jarred Jeffries to Sign Tuesday
Jared Jeffries will return to the Knicks tomorrow, after he clears waivers at 6pm est. Somewhat curiously, the Knicks today bought out Corey Brewer to create 1 roster spot. Looking back, it seems the Knicks only accepted him to try to trade him again before the deadline. What's more interesting is that Brewer was cut instead of Roger Mason Jr. who would have to be on another team to be any further out of Coach D'Antoni's rotation. I think they're probably going to sign an additional player, maybe Leon Powe, and at that time Mason will go. Walsh has a plan..
UPDATE: And it may be a strange plan. The Knicks have just announced they have bought out Kellena Azubuike and there has been no official word on Brewer yet.
FURTHER UPDATE: The Brewer buyout will completed tomorrow, so, two spots open.

Why waste Randolph then?? Any thoughts on Brewer? Boston can't sign everyone either, let them and Miami fight over Murphy. Mason Jr is a waste and dont know why he is on the roster.
We had to use Randolph entice them to give us the trade exception we used to get Carmelo.
ahhh... I am still clueless as to why Mason Jr????? You think we have a realistic shot at Powe? I would love his grit under the boards
It's incomprehensible.
Azibuke waived per Isola
More comprehensible, but Mason is a bigger waste of space.
Gadzuric?
We're talking about filler, so it doesn't matter. Brewer has an upside, as did Randolph. Why not stockpile young assets?
I just hope this isn't another instance of D'Antoni's idiosyncratic stubbornness.
agreed Rich, it certainly has that Pringly stench to it...
Michael,
Explain the Pringle reference?
Though I wish Franklin and Brewer well, the DLeague is full of long run and jump guys who don't know how to play basketball. I wouldn't have drafted either of them. I think a team could get very good very fast in the draft by letting everyone else take the projections and take the kids who know how to play. Lately, I have loved Rose, Love, Gallo and Steph Curry in their drafts. Those are the kind of kids it would bug me to lose.
I view it as a problem because they never got a shot.
I assume he was at all the practices when he was a Knick. As for Brewer, he asked out.
Rich, over on of the one the Knicks boards(may have been HF boards not sure where I first saw it), they refer to him as Mr. Pringles, as when you look at a can of pringles they see a resemblance with the mustache..
Phil,
Brewer is an asset. I really don't care what he wants at this point.
Michael,
Oh...I was expecting something a little deeper.
He's an expiring contract this year. His agent is Amar'e's agent. They tried to trade him but couldn't. I don't think the Knicks should take hostages. Let the Nets do that.
I would guess that he wants out because he was told he wasn't going to play?
If so, it's one more reason why I don't trust the coach.
Rich sorry to disappoint lol :-)
Looks like Balkman is gonna get all the Brewer minutes. Meanwhile, it looked like we have some emerging glue guys who can play with the three stars. Look who sunk all the FT's at the end of the game last night. We were + 22 with Walker in there last night.
Derrick Brown was claimed off waivers from Charlotte 6-8 Forward
