Yanks Re-Sign Mo
The Yanks and Mo Rivera have agreed on a new two year deal. In other news, they have also, apparently, upped their offer for Derek Jeter. That will probably get done before Christmas. The Cliff Lee talks should heat up by the Winter Meetings, which begin on the 6th.

I hate that they are negotiating against themselves with Jeter.
Given the recent turn in the Jeter talks, I am horrified just thinking about what Lee's deal is going to look like.
Imagine how much more flexible this team, with its resources, would be if its front office actually knew how to negotiate.
At least Lee appears to still be able to pitch at a high level. Jeter has been bad for two out of the last three seasons. It's sad.
I knew that would happen with Jeter with talks of a 4th year.

FWIW on last night's hot stove Heyman said that there is room in the budget for both Crawford and Lee...
Meanwhile, the Red Sox will be getting Adrian Gonzalez for two bags of coal and a box of switches. Merry Christmas.
