Yanks Pitching Coach
According to Bryan Hoch, Gil Patterson is among the candidates to replace Dave Eiland as Yankee Pitching Coach. Scott Aldred and Mike Harkey are also said to be in the mix. Leo Mazzone has said he's interested, and may be the most intriguing name on the list. He has a great track record, and a philosophy that involves building armstrength and pounding the outside corner. It would be interesting to see whether the Yanks would add Mazzone's armstrength program throughout the system, or whether they'd keep doing what they are doing there if Mazzone was the hire. I like Aldred of the in-house candidates. What are you guys thinking?

As I said in the thread below, given the Yankees' inability to develop and maintain a legitimate starter since Pettitte came through, I would love an outside voice coming in and offering a "second opinion," so to speak.
Yes to Mazzone. Doubt Cashman has the gall to go outside the organization, though.
They added Melky Mesa to the 40.
The Gaudin Era has come to a close.
Should have closed a year ago. There are several players on the 40-man whose presence is inexplicable. Roster construction is not one of Cashman's strong suits.
Don't want it to be Harkey, we need to go outside the organization
