Knicks Make Their "Official Offer"

The latests news is that the Knicks have made their official offer to Amar'e Stoudemire. This news is at best inaccurate and at worst a little disingenuos. This deal got done Thursday night, more or less. As is so often the case in player movement stories, the reports are behind the actual events. Anyway, if he passes the physical, it's just a very good situation for the Knicks. At the very least they have replaced David Lee. At the very most, they have shown LeBron that while Cleveland wouldn't go get him Amar'e last season at the deadline, the Knicks did withing 24 hours of meeting with him. Good job, Knicks, but getting LeBron is still Job 1. Go Knicks!

I still think he'll be a Knick with Amar'e and a 3rd piece.

Meanwhile Amar'e is sitting behind homeplate at the Yankee game tomorrow.

I hope you're right, but then why is Amar'e saying that Melo and Parker could join him in NY?

OTOH, I'm not sure that Wade and Bosh may not come here instead of Amar'e and LeBron.
