Amar'e!

It seems like the first domino has fallen. The Daily News is reporting that the Knicks are closing in on a 5 year max deal with Amar'e. My guess is that it's structured so that there's an opt out after 3 year's at which time the Knicks will use their Bird rights to award a bigger contract. That format will probably only be turned to if they get two more players. Speaking of which, Dwyane Wade had a very good meeting with the Knicks today and says he's "intrigued." Interesting. The Knicks are currently meeting with Bosh, though it seems like a formality since they already have Amar'e. And an Amar'e and Gallo pairing has to be hugely appealing to LeBron. Go Knicks!

UPDATE: Apparently early reports that the Knicks meeting with Bosh only lasted one hour were wrong - it's still going on! Who knows what this means, but nothing if final till it's final.

on ESPNNEWS crawl earlier they cited a report stating we told Lebron Max offer or 5 year offers for 11.5 for him Amare and Joe.... I guess no coincidence that our meeting w Bosh was short.. Sheridan was on ESPNRadio in NY and said Bosh may be S/T to the Rockets.

The most villified man in NYC Broussard actually gave the Knicks credit saying this ups our chances w LeBron and D-Wade is realistic if Miami gets no-one

Hope this is a sign of good things to come!!

Bosh leaves after over 2 hrs and 40 min meeting with Knicks. Asked if he's excited: "Man you should have seen me in there. I'm more excited than I was yesterday."

I won't believe anything until the ink has dried.

Rich you think Lebron/Amare?

I have no idea. ESPN 1050 is reporting that the Knicks have all but eliminated themselves from the LeBron sweepstakes.

Just like when the Yankees were out on Tex and CC didn't want to play in NYC.

Again, I don't have a clue about anything. It's a Yahoo! Sports report, my guess is by Wojo, who even before this, I would like to punch out. He's a fatuous fool.

Oh and one more thing. Kay said he got a text from someone he trusts at the Garden who said that even if they don't get LeBron, not heads would role. His take was that the timing of the TM lent credence to the report.

Knicks are in stealthmode, just like the Yanks go into.

LeBron's gotta get out of Cleveland, and then we'll see what happens. I still believe LeBron is on the way.

If Wade and Bosh go to Chicago, the Knicks with Amar'e and Gallo become, by far, the best fit for LeBron.

I think are by far the best fit for LeBron no matter what. I hope he shares that view.

The last thing he needs is a defense first coach in his first gig.
