Yanks Win

The Yanks had to play against both the Blue Jays and homeplate ump Bruce Dreckman today. It was one of the most lopsided performances I've ever witnessed by an ump. He squeezed Javier Vazquez, who still only gave up hit, a homer, for two runs. He K'd 9, but also "walked" 4 through 7. The Yanks couldn't grind, because Dreckman was giving Morrow a huge strikezone. They were finally able to rally for 4 runs in the 8th to take the lead. Cano had three hits including the game winner. Joba gave up a run in the 8th, but then got a DP, and Marte came in and K'd a lefty. Mo pitched a perfect ninth for the save. The big headline, though, is that Vazquez has truly joined the rotation. Hughes pitches next. Go Yanks!

I hope Alex is ok.

Dreckman was on a mission to make Jim Joyce look good.

Francesa is such a dope. He thinks the Mets can get two of Cecil, Morrow, and Romero just by taking Wells's contract. Jeez.
