Yanks Clobber Halladay/Phils

The best TEAM won again. Tonight, the Yanks grinded out 6 runs over 6 innings against Halladay, including homers by Grandy, Swish and Tex and a 2 run triple from Gardy. With ARod still on the bench, they just went to work and didn't wait for anyone else to do it for them. They put two more on the Phillie pen, and really it could have been a bigger blowout. It seemed like they had the bases loaded almost every inning and then were hitting absolute lasers for big outs. CC, was mostly great, but had a bad inning where he gave up 3 runs. In all he went 7 innings and gave up just the three runs and is now 7-3. Dave Robertson pitched a scoreless 8th, and Chan Ho Park did the same in the ninth. If those two come around, we are in for all sorts of fun this summer. Big Win! AJ goes tomorrow. Go Yanks!

In other news, Yankee first rounder Cito Culver has turned down his scholarship to Maryland and seems set to sign with the Yankees after he graduates on Sunday. And, in his second appearance of the year, Dellin Betances was also dominant down in Tampa. The farm is coming around like the pen. Good stuff.

They're grinding again.

Yup, and when they grind, they win. I really think getting hit in the hand got CC off his game tonight.

Izzo is staying at Michigan State, and says LeBron should stay home too. Not too self-serving, and also a way to tell Cleveland that they shouldn't blame him if LeBron leaves.

We have an agreement with Culver and several players, but we can't sign them till they graduate.

The loss of Hixon loss is an opportunity for other guys.

I wish they'd show mL games on YES. They're non-Yankee game programming is beyond awful.
