Yanks Pop Keenan Kish in the 34th

After making some safe college pitcher choices in the first 3 rounds on day 3, the Yanks swung for the fences again by taking Keenan Kish, and RHP/3B out of Germantown Academy in Germantown, PA. Kish is a picture perfect type pitching prospect who already works in the low 90s and projects to add velo. He's probably a longshot, but he is in the area covered by Yankee superscout, just like last year's late round gem, Evan DeLuca, so you never know. The Yanks have also popped a few more HS OF's as the mandate this year is to add athleticism. Only ten more rounds. Go Yanks!

I didn't realize that Kevin from NoMaas wrote for Scout.com.

Yup. He got hired. And it was a potentially great draft. Well thought out piece of work.

Terry Ryan was all over Cito Culver and called the Yanks to give them grief for taking "the best SS in the draft."

Cool. I hope Jeter can stay there until he's ready, but I'm very skeptical that Jeter can remain a SS that long.

Nunez might have the job for awhile.

Interesting tidbit on Ryan. Were the Twins the ones that would've taken him before our second round pick?

Nunez? Isn't he an awful defender?

The Twins and 5 other teams were interested in between our first two picks, do I'm not sure who would have popped him.

Nunez is a very talented defender but a little inconsistent. He's improving now.
