The Plan
With just over 24 hours untill the picks start, here's what we'd like to see the Giants do. First, it's important not to trade up for anyone. This draft is too deep to be 2 for 1ing anyone. Second, if the value is not right at 15 trade down and get more picks. In fact, other than getting three great players over the first three rounds, the Giants #1 priority should be getting more picks. There are two basic ways to do that. First, they can trade down in the first. Second, they can trade Osi, with a high 2 being part of the package. Third they could do both.
If they stay at 15 they've got to get an impact player. Those that could be there are CJ Spiller, Dez Bryant, Joe Haden, Earl Thomas and Jason Pierre-Paul. I think Spiller is the best bet for somone the Giants would actually take. Bryant would be great with Nicks, but I don't think they'll do it. Haden and Thomas are both ballhawks, though the fact that Kenny Phillips is running makes me think S won't be a first round consideration. JPP is probably the most controversial player I have named here. But take a look at the tape I posted. This guy is a freak and the Giants have a good program for bringing along DE's. He also let's you get your best offer for Osi right off the bat.
Now, if Spiller is gone. I think the Giants should trade down then see if any of the group I've named are still there, or start looking at Iupati, Pouncey, Davis (if he falls), Jahvid Best, Brandon Graham, and Jerry Hughes.
Ultimately the twin goals for Thursday/Friday are to get a great player in the first round, but also add at least one more second round pick. We'll talk more about the second and third rounds on Thursday and Friday. Go Giants!

FWIW, Mike Mayock doesn't think Spiller gets past 10.
Francesa likes Sean Lee for the Giants.
Mayock says there is a lot of talk about moving to 10 or 11 for McClain. If they don't, then
McClain Wilson, or JPP.
Francesa's favorite WR is Golden Tate.
Taking McClain at 15 I don't like, trading up for him at 10 I would be very upset with.
I don't want him either.
Spiller-lite: Dexter McCluster
Mayock has a bet with a GM that he'll go in the 2nd round. The GM thinks the 3rd.
Cleveland may have made a big offer for Pig Ben.
I would love a game breaker like Spiller or Dez Bryant. I would also love Earl Thomas but he won't slide. We should get a very good player at #15 and find a linebacker in round 2 or 3.
We need more picks and no tradeups.
McCluster is at best a third rounder.
the more I look at it, my ideal draft would include Haden in the first, Cam Thomas in the 2nd, Donald Butler in the 3rd, Marshall Newhouse in the 4th, Lindsey Witten in the 5th, Eric Olsen in the 6th, cant think of one off the top of my head in the 7th.
Add depth to the OL/DL, get a solid LB, and leave with serious amounts of talent at CB
Well, I like your first and sixth rounders.
Though I do think JD Walton will be the C we pick.
FWIW, Dotino says the Giants have only been offered a 5th for Osi.
I doubt that's true. Osi is in a different class from the busts who've been getting traded for 5ths.
I have no idea, but Dotino is a better reporter than he is an analyst.
you think he is an intelligent filter for any of the bs he'll be handed during the draft?
He admitted that everyone lies at this time of year.
new Giant post.
