Wow

After struggling a bit over the first three innings, Andy Pettitte settled down to give the Yanks 8 strong innings of 2 run ball. He has really become resourceful and is reminiscent of the way Mike Mussina pitched in 2008. He just looks terrific thus far, and having good D behind him for one of the rare times in his career isn't hurting. The Yanks ground out a lead taking their walks and getting hit by pitches, etc. Tex finally homered, and Posada also hit one. The New York Nicks had a lousy day, collecting just one walk between them. Gardner continued to get on base. Ramiro Pena, playing for an ailing Jeter, had a two out, two run hit with the bases loaded. Mo got the save for the SWEEP! The Yanks are 9-3 with and offday Monday. Keep it going, Yanks!

Phil, what are your thoughts on DeAngelo Mack? If he develops some power, he could be very good.

I like Mack. He's been waking up lately. Kid can hit and they should promote him aggressively if he keeps doing so.

He projects to play a corner, correct? I've been high on both him and Medchill.
