Giants Take JPP
After their most talked about options were off the board, the Giants went back to their meat and potatoes and took a freakishly athletic DE. The sky is the limit for this guy and you have to swing for the fences at 15. He has an amazing first step, and hopefully, the new DL coach will be as good as the last two at bringing along high upside passrushers. I'll add video later. I'm satisfied. http://www.giants.com/multimedia/

Phil would you have prefered Morgan? Either way I am happy also. Does this mean Osi is dealt?
The prototypical boom/bust pick. I don't think he was the BPA.

Jerry Reese: "We're not trading Osi. I know that's on everybody's mind." #nyg
Dez Bryant was the BPA, though the Giants say JPP was #6 on their board.
I have faith in Reese/Ross and in Mayock. They all like this guy. I love speed and athleticism. I just hope he is not a long term project.
It's the project part that I don't like, and yes as I had said, I wanted Dez.
I wouldn't have minded OL either.
Dez to Dallas makes me sick.
I suspected that would happen.
It's sort of a worst case scenario.
After looking at the Tebow deal, trading down was so the way to go. Reese has been myopic since 2007.
Rich, you have to have a trade partner. They didn't have one at that point.
OK, still not happy.
Hopefully, we'll get what we want for Osi and have some extra picks going forward.
we need players that can play now..if this is what it takes for coughlin and reese to get fired fine by me..they are turing into a joke and make this organization a joke
who did you want that could play "now?"
Russ Landy thinks that Sintim is the Giants' answer at MLB?
I know Al Groh thought Sintim might make a great Mike.
Any info on whether the Giants think so?
No, looks like we're gonna draft a Mike at some point later today.
