Whither Nate?
Nate, who has been in Coach D'Antoni's doghouse, and out of his rotation for the past several weeks, has requested a trade. It's a real shame that a player as talented as Nate wouldn't make the necessary adjustments to his game, his attitude and his on-court behavior to become a valuable regular at this point, but he hasn't and it seems like Coach D was fed up. Hopefully, the Knicks can get pick or something, or perhaps pair Nate with Curry or Jeffries to get some cap room out of this unfortunate situation. It's sad, there was a time when it looked like Nate was going to turn into a star for the Knicks.

As much as I'm getting frustrated with D'Antoni, and to a lesser degree Walsh, I can live with the Robinson situation because he has an expiring contract, even though they have destroyed his value. They may end up buying him out. But Curry can't be moved without getting PT, and it doesn't look like he's going to be part of the rotation.
The way Jeffries is playing, he is definitely movable.
Nate's value has been destroyed. He didn't get any offers last June, and had to come back. You'd think he might have learned something.
I agree, which is why I am pissed at D'Antoni. I can see the need for making a statement to Nate by benching him, but even when he had a chance (if not a need) to use him, like in Chicago, he decided against it. Given their limited number of assets, that seems short-sighted. The problem is even worse with Curry.
At the same time, they have elevated Jeffries' value, and will probably be able to trade him.
