OBP Jesus is back in pinstripes and ready to rock! So far, the moves the Yanks have made have been great. I doubt they'll screw it up with a DeRosa or anything like that. And I still think they'll swoop on Holliday. Go Yanks!
DeRosa is a step back. Hal's comments were telling in that he listens to Cash and that if Cash tells him it's a player we really need he will listen...
He won't answer whether Holliday fits in with this circumstance. But he discussed that there isn't much money to spend, and then said his answer should lead a horse to water.

Cash on with Kay now.
The Hughes/Joba competition is only if they acquire a starter, although Gaudin is in the mix.
Nick isn't official yet.
He's not ruling out Damon. He says the market is fluid. That's the same word he used with Nick.

Cash being very evasive about Holliday, I don't think Cash is being fully forthcoming...
Whenever Cash says, "Anyone would want a player like____" he gets him. He said it about Holliday.
There was no tie in between the Damon and Matsui decision.
I think what Cash is saying is that he would be interested in Holliday if his price comes down. How much, we don't know.
Rich,
I think they have a number for him and that Holliday's urging Boras to take it.
Could be.
The principal/agent relationship I learned about in law school contained a different delegation of authority. ;)

The last number the #Yankees floated to Johnny Damon was 2 years, $14 million. Scott Boras wanted two years, $26 million for Damon.
yeah, they're pushing Damon away.
In an article by Madden reporting that the NJ deal has been finalized:
"It also ends the Yankees' interest in ex-Bergen Catholic product Mark DeRosa, another option Cashman had offered for consideration."
