Cash Gets His Man!

Joel Sherman of the New York Post is reporting that CC Sabathia has agreed to join the Yankees. The decision was made late tonight and is will require a physical before anything is finalized. CC will join Chien Ming Wang and Joba Chamberlain and God knows who else in the Yankees starting rotation in the new Yankee stadium. This is very good news for the Yanks who can now go about the more mundane work of filling out their rotation and adding a patient and powerful bat to their offense. Kudos, Cash, your patience has once again paid off while others were losing their's. Go Yanks!

Seems like they're gonna want to solidify the rotation first, but we'll see.

I could very well see Andy gone, as I think Cash has made it clear he wants 2 if not all 3 of his other targets.

I like your commentary in the previous thread. Personally I rather it be Sheets over Andy, more upside. I agree with you that Cash is not gonna neglect the O especially after the revamped staff. Tex is the preferred bat of choice, and as you so aptly mentioned prior Boras owes Cash a solid(not saying giving us a discount, but giving us Tex or Manny would be nice).

7/160 is a lower AAV than 6/140 was.

Yes it is. Go Cash!!!!

Heyman was on Carton and Boomer and said he thinks it will be Lowe/Sheets and a bat, that AJ will go to Atlanta

Even though the boys at BBI dont think Lowe is a real option im hearing he will sign tonight for 4 years-68 million with a team option for a 5th year at 17 million or a 3 million buyout

im still hearing sheets 2 years 32 million and that Hank really wants Manny which heyman reported today...I also truly believe Yanks will trade Matsui for bullpen and then trade Cano for Kemp i really do believe it and then sign Hudson and have a lineup and rotation of

CC
Wang
Lowe
Sheets
Joba

Damon
Jeter
Manny
Arod
Kemp
Posada
Nady
Hudson
Swisher

Dan that would be solid

What kind of deal will Manny get?

Matsui to Seattle?

At 11:34 AM, Blogger Michael said...

Dan/Phil would you's endorse Cano for Kemp?

At 11:38 AM, Blogger Kalel9 said...

I'm not in favor of Cano for Kemp. And I also don't think the Yanks need any more bullpen.

I would take Kershaw for Cano, but don't think the Dodgers would do that.

I agree no bullpen is needed.

Minus the Cano part I like Dan's scenario should it unfold
