Vets Tab Gordon for Hall

The late Joe Gordon finally made it to the Hall of Fame today when he got 10 out of 12 veterans committee votes. Gordon was the greatest Yankee 2B and the honor was long deserved. When he played, he was considered better than the Sox Hall of Fame 2B Bobby Doerr who has been in for a long time. He was also better than Yankee HoF 2b Tony Lazzeri, so, since the line was already drawn below him, it's been a running joke that he wasn't in. I'm glad that got fixed today, but wonder what in the world Ron Santo will have to do to get in. His numbers were sensational and it appears that he may be being penalized for having been a Cub. Wasn't that punishment enough? Here's hoping the new fangled Veterans Committee keeps adding worthy candidates.
